How Do You Accept Jesus? Calvinism vs Wesleyanism & Heresy Exposed
Tuesday Jun 09, 2026
Tuesday Jun 09, 2026
In this episode of the Ask A Christian Podcast, Nate and the crew tackle one of the most-searched questions that Christians apparently keep forgetting to answer: how do you actually accept Jesus and receive Him as Lord and Savior? Turns out the gap between "churchy lingua" and plain English is wider than we thought — so we fix that. You're welcome, internet.
From there, the panel dives deep into the Ordo Salutis — the order of salvation — comparing the Wesleyan and Calvinist views on total depravity, total inability, regeneration, and whether God drags you to salvation in chains or extends a general grace that you respond to. Spoiler: everyone agrees on the destination. The how-to guide is where it gets spicy.
Next up, Nate addresses a viral Catholic apologetics claim involving Venerable Marthe Robin — a French mystic who allegedly lived 53 years sustained only by the Eucharist. Nate doesn't deny the miracle. He denies the attribution. If God does a miracle, it's God's miracle — not the wafer's.Then Steph brings receipts on a video from realgoodnews.org — a heretical claim that Jesus's baptism disproves blood atonement, that John the Baptist was practicing Essene Judaism, and that Jesus drove out the money changers because He opposed animal sacrifice — not because they turned the temple into a den of robbers. Nate goes through all four Gospel accounts. Spoiler again: every single one says "den of robbers." Every. Single. One.
Finally, the crew responds to a former pastor turned atheist who claims: "If you need a Bible to be a good person, you're not good — you're just controlled." Nate's counter? You're made in the image of God, which is exactly why you already know right from wrong — whether you admit it or not. Also featuring: a man who got saved in prison and genuinely needs the Bible to not commit battle axe-related crimes. Compelling testimony.

The Department of Defense just dropped 180 faiths from their recognized religion list—because apparently, the military is now in the business of consolidating eternity. We’re breaking down what this bureaucratic "streamlining" means for soldiers, and why the "Church of the Spiral Tree" didn't make the cut (spoilers: it’s inactive). We also dive into the grizzly intersection of high-level science and mysterious disappearances, plus a candid, if slightly sardonic, look at why Protestants don't traditionally "do" last rites and whether you’re just the religion your parents assigned you as a "lottery" at birth. Join us as we navigate the ridiculous, the spiritual, and the surprisingly necessary questions of faith on this week’s Ask A Christian Podcast. Bethel Pastor: Prophetic Word is "God's Sperm"? (Wild Heresy or Bible Truth?)
Thursday Jun 04, 2026
Thursday Jun 04, 2026
In this episode of Ask A Christian Podcast, Nate and the crew react to Bethel Church leader Kris Vallotton’s shocking claim that prophetic words are “God’s sperm” that need to impregnate the “womb of the dawn.” We break down the bizarre analogy, the linguistic roots, and why it raises major red flags. We also respond to an atheist arguing the Bible doesn’t say life begins at conception (with strong Scripture pushback), a fiery TikTok rant mocking talking snakes and Jonah, plus a quick recap of yesterday’s deep dive on “Can You Lose Your Salvation?” — OSAS, election, perseverance, and assurance of faith. Expect honest debate, Scripture, laughs, and zero filter on the weirdness coming out of Bethel. For more content, visit: https://www.askachristianpodcast.comTimestamps00:00 - Intro00:25 - Legend of Zelda: Link was originally an Orthodox Christian07:16 - Bethel’s Kris Vallotton: “Prophetic word is God’s sperm”15:18 - Atheist: Bible doesn’t say life begins at conception31:40 - TikTok rant mocks talking snake & Jonah39:12 - Can you lose your salvation? Once Saved Always Saved – True or False? (Can You Lose Your Salvation Explained)
Wednesday Jun 03, 2026
Wednesday Jun 03, 2026
Can you lose your salvation? Is "Once Saved Always Saved" the same thing as the Perseverance of the Saints — or are these actually two different doctrines that Christians keep confusing? Nate and the crew tackle this classic debate head-on, along with a TikTok atheist (a former pastor, naturally) who argues the Bible contradicts itself and Christians have to "torture" the text to make it make sense. Spoiler: they don't torture it very hard.In this episode of the Ask A Christian Podcast, Nate, Steph, Lou, and the panel break down:
The viral "former pastor turned atheist" video claiming Paul and James contradict each other on faith and works — and why that's a 101-level misreadThe actual distinction between OSAS (Once Saved Always Saved) and Perseverance of the Saints — yes, they're different, and yes, it mattersWhat actually sends someone to hell — sin or rejection of Christ?A TikTok woman who says Christians are just science-denying religious fanatics quoting Karl Marx — and why that argument is weaker than it soundsThe indwelling Holy Spirit and why critics of Christianity are often fighting with an incomplete pictureHebrews 10 and 12, eternal security, and what it means to persevere in faith
Whether you're Reformed, Baptist, somewhere in between, or just trying to figure out if your salvation is secure, this one's for you. And if you're still confused about OSAS after listening — don't worry, they argued about it for like 45 minutes too.For more content, visit: https://www.askachristianpodcast.com

What Does God Really Condone? (Pride Month Special) - Is the Bible Pro-Slavery?
Tuesday Jun 02, 2026
Tuesday Jun 02, 2026
June is here, which means it's officially Pride Month — and we've got a lot to talk about. In this episode of the Ask A Christian Podcast, host Nate and the crew dig into the full Pride Month calendar from a Christian perspective. What's the biblical response when a secular world dedicates an entire month to something Scripture has clear things to say about? Spoiler: it's more nuanced than a social media argument, and it requires more love than a counter-protest sign. Then things get weird — in the best possible way. Christian furries are apparently a thing. Yes, really. We're talking about the growing tension between the furry fandom and Christians who happen to be part of it, and asking the honest question: what does a biblical worldview say about identity, community, and dressing up as a wolf? (For what it's worth, Jesus is called both a Lion and a Lamb in Scripture, so animals aren't entirely off the table.)We also tackle one of the internet's favorite bad-faith Bible memes: the claim that Abraham was just a schizophrenic hearing voices when he nearly sacrificed his son Isaac. It's a serious objection that deserves a serious answer — and we give it one. The context of Genesis 22, the theological weight of the Akedah, and the coherence of divine revelation all point to something far more intentional than a hallucination. Then, because online fandoms have apparently lost their minds, we cover the story of Kathleen Koszola — a 61-year-old widow who started a Disney World fan page to cope with grief after losing her husband, and found herself harassed, stalked, and doxxed by rabid Disney adults who apparently treat the Magic Kingdom like a religion you're not allowed to film. Relevant story from the New York Post (read more at: https://nypost.com/2026/06/02/us-news/rabid-disney-adults-harass-doxx-widow-over-her-magic-kingdom-videos/)And we close with one of the most common and most serious objections to Christianity: does the New Testament condone slavery? We break down the Greek word doulos, how translators have wrestled with it for centuries, what Paul actually meant when he called himself a "bondservant of Christ," and why the Bible's view of human dignity is far more radical than its critics give it credit for.Whether you're wrestling with hard questions or just trying to keep up with June, this episode has something for you.For more content, visit: https://www.askachristianpodcast.com

Prophet Forces Teen to Eat Bible & Is Jesus Really Necessary?
Monday Jun 01, 2026
Monday Jun 01, 2026
A self-styled prophet rips a page out of a Bible and literally commands a teenager to chew and swallow it in front of a cheering congregation — and no, that is not a metaphor, and yes, the title of the original article really does say "Not Clickbait." Nate and Steph react to the viral clip of "Prophet" Kevin Leal doing exactly this at a West Virginia church service, break down why this crosses well beyond charismatic disagreement into something genuinely alarming, and land on the official Ask A Christian Podcast position: please consume Scripture with your eyes. Your digestive tract was not designed for the book of Proverbs. (Watch the clip at: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DY00a9quRap/ — full story at: https://protestia.com/2026/05/26/eat-this-swallow-it-prophet-rips-page-out-of-a-bible-and-makes-teen-swallow-it-not-clickbait/)
Then the conversation gets theological. A critic asks: what makes God good if He kills people — including children — in the Bible? Nate and Steph work through the actual context of God's judgment in Scripture, who the recipients of that judgment actually were, and why the "glass half full" angle on infant deaths in the Old Testament is more substantive than it first sounds.
Finally: is Jesus actually necessary? Could God have just forgiven everyone without the cross? The crew digs into why the answer is no — not because of arbitrary rules, but because a truly just and good God cannot simply wave away sin without a payment that satisfies his own nature. Steph walks through the covenant logic, the Islamic comparison falls flat, and a live agnostic audience member pushes back in real time, which always makes for good radio.
Welcome to the Ask A Christian Podcast with host Nate and co-host Steph — where the questions are real, the theology is serious, and at least one false prophet is on notice.📚 Resources & Links:

Do Christians Have to Follow the Law of Moses? & Was Satan Ever Punished?
Wednesday May 27, 2026
Wednesday May 27, 2026
Nate opens by absolutely dunking on a TikTok rant claiming Satan is never punished in the Bible and that the serpent in Eden isn't the devil — with receipts from Luke 10, Matthew 25, and Revelation 12. Read the book, guys. It's not that long. Then the real marathon begins: do Christians still need to follow the 613 laws of Moses? Nate, Greg, and a rotating cast of guests dig deep into Galatians, Romans 7, Exodus 19, Deuteronomy 4, Acts 15, and Psalm 147 to answer whether the Law of Moses was ever meant for Gentiles, what it means that Christ fulfilled the law, and whether you're obligated to keep the Ten Commandments, observe the Sabbath, or do any of the ceremonial stuff. Spoiler: Jesus is the new lawgiver. Moses doesn't have jurisdiction over you anymore — and Greg's California-to-Nevada analogy might be the best illustration of this you've ever heard.Late in the episode, a self-described Communist Christian rolls in, polygamy gets debated, and somehow the conversation ends with an argument about whether HIV existed in biblical times. It's a journey. You've been warned. For more content, visit: https://www.askachristianpodcast.com
